ShopLook helps you find products and services from shops near you, as short videos, and contact those shops directly. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
ShopLook is operated by Allarc Solutions Pvt Ltd, 164, Pocket F-17, Sector-8, Rohini, Delhi 110085, India ("ShopLook", "we", "us"). For anything about your privacy, write to privacy@shoplook.in; for general help, support@shoplook.in.
What we collect
Your account. Your name and mobile number, which we verify with a one-time code sent by SMS. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. You can add an email address to your profile.
Your location. Your device location, or a pin you place on the map, and any places you save (such as Home or Work). We use it only to show listings within the range you choose.
What you do in the app. Listings you like, save or hide, shops you choose not to see, and what you search for.
Your messages. Chats you have with shops, including any photos you attach.
If you run a shop. Your shop's name, address and map pin, contact and WhatsApp numbers, opening hours, website, bio, photos, and the videos and details of your listings. This information is shown publicly to buyers. The mobile number you log in to your shop with (your account number) is kept private and is never shown to buyers.
Your consent. A record of what you agreed to, which version, and when.
Device information. A notification token so we can send you alerts you've allowed, and basic technical information (such as app version and device type) that our servers log when the app talks to them. We don't use third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting tools. If we add one, we'll update this policy first.
What we don't collect
- We don't ask for a password, your date of birth, your gender or your home address.
- We don't process payments. There is no buying or paying inside ShopLook, so we never collect card or bank details.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and verify your phone number.
- To show you listings and shops near the location you choose.
- To deliver your messages to shops and their replies to you.
- To send notifications you've allowed, such as new messages.
- To keep ShopLook safe: reviewing reports, removing listings that break our rules, and blocking accounts or shops when needed.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
Shops you contact. When you message a shop, it sees your name and your message. If you call or WhatsApp a shop, it will see your number, as with any call. We never share your location with shops.
Service providers who run parts of ShopLook for us, only for that purpose:
- Supabase — database and sign-in, hosted in Mumbai, India
- Cloudflare — storing and streaming videos and images
- Google — maps, Google sign-in and push notifications (Firebase)
- MSG91 — sending one-time codes by SMS
Authorities, when Indian law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we immediately delete your profile, saved items, likes, saved places, blocks and chats. Copies in our backups are removed within 30 days.
As India's IT Rules require, we keep basic registration details (such as your phone number) and your consent records for 180 days after deletion, in case they're needed for an investigation, and then delete them. Reports you made about content stay, without your name.
A shop is separate from your personal account and isn't deleted with it. When a shop is deleted, its listings, videos, offers and chats are deleted too. See Delete your account for the steps.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correct or update your details — most can be changed in Profile → Manage profile.
- Delete your account and data — Profile → Settings → Delete account.
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you.
- Raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer, and then with the Data Protection Board of India.
To make a request, email privacy@shoplook.in from the email on your account, or include the mobile number you signed up with.
Safety and reporting
You can report or block shops, listings and chat messages from inside the app. We review reports and may remove content or block accounts that break our rules.
ShopLook is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we'll delete it.

We will acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. The date at the top shows when this policy was last updated.
